Individual Case Management - One Tree Defence Childcare Unit

If you need help to find a childcare place, the Defence Family Helpline can assist you by referring you to the Individual Case Management (ICM) service.

The ICM service is available to Defence families. It is a service that is especially useful for those seeking childcare in a new area. This service can assist with placements in long day care, out of school hours care and family day care.

How to access this service:

Step 1 – contact the Defence Family Helpline on 1800 624 608 or email DefenceFamilyHelpline@defence.gov.au.

Step 2 – the Defence Family Helpline will assess your eligibility and refer you to an individual case manager.

Step 3 – the individual case manager will contact you to help you find a suitable childcare place.

The Defence Childcare Program is designed to provide childcare to Defence personnel families and local communities.

The One Tree Defence Childcare Unit also offers out of school hours care and vacation care in some areas.

Defence families that need help in finding a long day care, out of school hours care or vacation care can get assistance from our Individual Case Management (ICM) service.
