Childcare Connect

If you need help to find a childcare place, the Defence Member and Family Helpline can assist you by referring you to the Childcare Connect service.

The Childcare Connect service is available to Defence families. It is a service that is especially useful for those seeking childcare in a new area. This service can assist with placements in long day care, out of school hours care and family day care.

How to access this service:

Step 1 – contact the Defence Member and Family Helpline on 1800 624 608 or email memberandfamilyhelpline@defence.gov.au

Step 2 – the Defence Member and Family Helpline will assess your eligibility and refer you to a Childcare Connect manager.

Step 3 – the Childcare Connect manager will contact you to help you find a suitable childcare place.

The One Tree Defence Childcare Unit also offers out of school hours care and vacation care in some areas. Defence families that need help in finding a long day care, out of school hours care or vacation care can get assistance from our Childcare Connect service.
